Retention Period for Personal Data
1. With regard to customer and prospect management data:
Your personal data will not be retained beyond the period strictly necessary for managing our commercial relationship with you. However, data required to establish proof of a right or a contract, and which must be retained in order to comply with a legal obligation, will be kept for the duration prescribed by applicable law.
For prospecting activities directed at existing customers, data may be retained for a period of three years from the end of the commercial relationship.
Personal data relating to a prospect who is not yet a customer may be retained for a period of three years from the date of collection or from the date of the last contact initiated by the prospect.
At the end of this three-year period, we may contact you to determine whether you wish to continue receiving commercial communications.
2. With regard to identity documents:
In the event that a right of access or rectification is exercised, data relating to identity documents may be retained for the period provided for under Article 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, namely one year. In the event that a right of objection is exercised, such data may be archived for the limitation period set out in Article 8 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, namely three years.
3. With regard to bank card data:
Financial transactions relating to the payment of purchases and charges on the website are entrusted to a payment service provider, who is responsible for their proper execution and security.
For the purposes of providing these services, the payment service provider may receive your personal data relating to your bank card numbers, which it collects and retains on our behalf and in our name.
We do not have access to this data.
To enable you to make regular purchases or settle applicable charges on the website, your bank card data will be retained for the duration of your registration on the website and, at a minimum, until the time of your last transaction.
By checking the box specifically provided for this purpose on the website, you give your explicit consent to this retention.
The visual cryptogram (CVV2) printed on your bank card is not stored.
If you object to the retention of your personal data relating to your bank card numbers under the conditions described above, we will not retain such data beyond the time required to process the transaction.
In any event, data relating thereto may be retained, for evidentiary purposes in the event of a disputed transaction, in intermediate archives, for the period provided for under Article L. 133-24 of the Monetary and Financial Code, namely 13 months from the date of debit. This period may be extended to 15 months to account for the possible use of deferred-debit payment cards.
4. With regard to the management of opt-out lists:
Information enabling us to give effect to your right of objection will be retained for a minimum of three years from the date on which the right of objection was exercised.
5. With regard to audience measurement statistics:
Information stored on users’ devices, or any other element used to identify users and track their browsing or visit activity, will not be retained for more than 6 months.
Security
We take all appropriate organisational and technical precautions to preserve the security, integrity, and confidentiality of your personal data, and in particular to prevent it from being distorted, damaged, or accessed by unauthorised third parties. We also use, or may use, secure payment systems that comply with current best practices and applicable regulations.
Cookies
Cookies are text files, often encrypted, stored in your browser. They are created when a user’s browser loads a given website: the website sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Each time the user returns to the same website, the browser retrieves this file and sends it to the web server.
There are two types of cookies, each with different purposes: technical cookies and advertising cookies:
- Technical cookies are used throughout your browsing session to facilitate navigation and perform certain functions. For example, a technical cookie may be used to remember answers entered in a form, or a user’s language or display preferences, where such options are available.
- Advertising cookies may be created not only by the website the user is visiting, but also by other websites displaying advertisements, announcements, widgets, or other elements on the page shown. These cookies may be used, among other things, for targeted advertising — that is, advertising determined based on the user’s browsing behaviour.
We use technical cookies. These are stored in your browser for a period not exceeding six months.
We do not use advertising cookies. However, should we do so in the future, we will inform you in advance, and you will have the option to disable such cookies.
We use, or may use, Google Analytics, an audience measurement and analysis tool that generates a cookie to measure the number of visits to the website, the number of pages viewed, and visitor activity. Your IP address is also collected to determine the city from which you are connecting. The retention period for this cookie is set out in section 7(v) of this policy.
We remind you that it is possible to object to the placement of cookies by configuring your browser settings. However, such refusal may prevent the website from functioning correctly.
Consent
By choosing to provide your personal data, you expressly consent to its collection and use in accordance with the provisions of this policy and applicable legislation.
Access to Your Personal Data
In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Information Technology, Data Files and Civil Liberties, you have the right to obtain communication of, and where applicable, the rectification or deletion of, data relating to you, through online access to your account. You may also contact us at:
- Email address: Use the contact form.
